Stumped – And on the Third Day, She was Graced by the Mighty Broadband

As you may have guessed, this blog is all about me FINALLY GETTING MY INTERNET INSTALLED! Can we just, take a moment and just… digest the awesomeness of all of this?! *sigh*

Cast your minds back to my previous blogs (or just click here) where I have moaned at length, about the fact that I have had no actual internet. By ‘actual internet’ I mean anything better than the flimsy dongle I’ve had the displeasure of using. Sure, it allowed me to check my emails at home, but with only a 15g monthly allowance, online gaming was just not possible. For 1 year and 4 months (that’s 510 days or 734,700 minutes or 44,064,000 seconds), I sat and waited for the moment I could get me some tasty broadband. During this time, I retreated from my Xbox, my Wii, even my PS3, too depressed with the knowledge that I could not game with the greater online community. I stopped buying games for my consoles as I knew I would just be frustrated by not being able to give multiplayer a spin. Okay technically, I did get GTA V, but let’s focus on how rubbish this situation was.

At no extra cost, you can see a bit of my new Ikea carpet. You're welcome.

Instead I focused on working on my Animal Crossing town, explored the world of mobile gaming and played various puzzle games which thanks to that, Stumped was born. But I’m not going to lie, the past 16 months of not being able to game online has been tough. Waiting for things to change got boring and I was losing patience. Lucky for me and of course by the power of Greyskull, I’ve finally moved to a cute love shack with my partner and as I had planned for like, ever, the first thing I ordered was some bloody broadband. Hell YES.

Now the broadband is installed and humming away, I had to stay true to the words of my last blog. I am chuffed to say that I am now the proud owner of Destiny and CoD Advance Warfare, which came today (thanks Amazon) and canny wait to play. But of course, I couldn’t just stop there could I. I’ve got unlimited broadband, and I have some catching up to do. In a matter of days I’ll be rebooting my WoW account to my Mac, I shall stream the shit out of my Netflix account, and I will find that dodgy website that allows me to watch the anime FairyTail. Ahh 😀

Now if you will excuse me, I have some much needed online multiplayer goodness to catch up on!
