Save The Best For Last

Never has a Vanessa Williams song been so true. The best has most certainly been saved for last as we count down not only to the end of another year, but also to another jam packed Christmas! And what has gaming Santa brought for us lucky boys and girls this time? So far we’ve got Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed II, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game and Tony Hawk: Ride. But as you know the list of games this Christmas is pretty long. But why do I feel as if I’m missing something?

I don’t know if it’s me, but aren’t there usually a lot more games out over the Christmas period? Now this could be me not realising all the amazing games that are out for Christmas. When I was younger, the amount of games we had wasn’t much, but as time went on it seemed more and more games would come out for the Christmas period. So as a natural progression I have grown to expect all the cool games to come out in December. Now it seems that January is the new Christmas which doesn’t feel right.

I don’t want to complain but some of the games coming out next year I am just itching to play, wouldn’t it be nice to have them now? Games such as Dante’s Inferno, God of War III and the one which gives me butterflies at just the mention of the name, Bayonetta, look absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to play them. They say that good things come to those who wait, which is what I’m going to have to do. Until then I shall bask in the smattering of gaming goodness as I await the new stars to hit our consoles.

I can’t wait for Dante’s Inferno either! Bad Company 2 also is in my sights. And Darksiders.

Bayonetta is awesome, and I’m rather natty at it as well – my playtest at the Eurogamer Expo drew a few stunned remarks at my scores lol

Dante’s Inferno on the other hand I found to be a let down… it was like a series of QTEs strung together with a bit of strolling about. I expected something better.
