Welcome again to Stumped, your one stop blog for all puzzle game related stuff. This time I’ll be focusing on games available on the iPhone. I love my iPhone so any excuse to add more games to play on the go, is always a bonus. Here are just a few brain teasers recently released for iPhone and iPad users of iOS 3.2 or newer.
All On or Off Lite
I think the most mind numbingly hard games are the one that have such a simple concept. All On and Off to me fits such profile. All you have to do is turn all the light bulbs either on or off in your chosen size grid. As long as you take into account that the light you choose can turn the adjacent lights on or off and everytime you choose to reset it changes the layout then you will have no problems getting through the various levels. A lite version of the game is available, giving you 4 x 4, 5 x 5 and 6 x 6 grids to work with and for 69p you can access the ad free game and also the 7 x 7 and 8 x 8 grid.
Kubikoo
Who hasn’t come across a game that involves moving squares? Really, you haven’t?! Well here is your chance to play such a game for 69p. The premise is all about moving different colour squares along lines and columns in order to match a specific pattern. There are four different modes which range from “classic” where you need to group colours together to “draw”, “complex draw” and “master” where you recreate a complex pattern.
Stalker Room Escape
This free game sees you wake up in a room not knowing how or why you’re there. The only information given is that if you escape, you will be killed. This is the background to the Stalker Room Escape trilogy. In each part, you are given a different room where you need to find clues and objects to escape your hidden captor. If you do get stuck you can always get hints and if you get killed the game autosaves to your last successful movement.
Directional
Here’s a game that’s not all about solving the puzzle but also about speed. In either classic or “expert” mode, Directional is all about clearing as many directional blocks as possible. This is done by selecting the chosen block and swiping it in the direction it is pointing in. The aim is to be able to clear as many blocks you can at once within the time given.
So how many of these games have you guys played? If the answer is none, make sure you check these games out and tell me what you think. If you’ve actually played them all, let me know and tell me what your highest score is. Until next time, keep on puzzlin’!
