Available in stores now, Damnation is Codemasters’ vertically acrobatic shooter, with a healthy spoonful of fantasy flair. In an alternate world where electricity is shunned in favour of all things steam, American freedom fighters attempt to save their war torn country from a tyrannical dictator.
With massive open worlds, protagonist Rourke jets about on his pseudo-Victorian motorbike, zips down wires, clambers around US landmarks and takes care of his enemies with a number of antiquated guns.
Following in the footsteps of Team Fortress and recently released Killing Floor, Damnation started life as a mod (for Unreal Tournament 2004) before winning the “Make Something Unreal” compo and being gobbled up for retail release.
