Back in October 2013, Sony issued an “important notice […] regarding online games” on its PlayStation website, announcing that it will shut down servers for selecting games, which means their online features will no longer be available. Whilst PlayStation 3’s exclusive game PAIN has already been decommissioned on 26th November 2013 a few more games will soon be losing their online features.
Starting on 28th January 2014, MAG, SOCOM: Special Forces and SOCOM: Confrontation will also loose their servers followed by all three Resistance games supported by the PS3 on 28th March 2014 -Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2 and Resistance 3 will lose their online modes.
And finally, Gran Turismo 5 will be the last one to see its servers shut on 20th May 2014.
These servers’ shut down are only the next ones on a longer list which has seen a few Sony exclusive games like Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Race Driver: GRID lose their online features.
