Welcome back to our feature where we aim to outline the new releases that that our readers might be interested in.
It’s time! If you’re here for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 launch line-up, just scroll down a little: we’ve put together dedicated tables to highlight these releases. Whether your preference is Dead Rising 3 or Killzone: Shadow Fall, both systems have healthy launch-day choices (despite some delays!) and something for just about everyone.
There’s no need to feel like you’re missing out if you’re not quite ready to invest in one of Sony or Microsoft’s new boxes, however. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins and Call of Duty: Ghosts are already available on most platforms, with the remaining versions due out before the end of the month.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes hits on the 15th of November on nearly everything, with early reviews suggesting another strong entry in Traveller Tales’ long-line of LEGO titles, while XCOM: Enemy Within, a stand-alone follow-up to last year’s excellent strategy remake XCOM: Enemy Unknown, lands on the same day.
The Wii U may have already had its big launch late last year, but Nintendo fans still have much to celebrate this month, with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds arriving on the 22nd of November on Nintendo 3DS. As a direct-sequel to one of the most beloved games of all time, the Super NES classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, expectations are high. Speaking of Nintendo’s home console, we round out November with a Wii U title I’m particularly looking forward to: Super Mario 3D World, the utterly-bananas looking multiplayer sequel to Super Mario 3D Land.
As always, PlayStation Plus offers a solid selection of games as part of their “Instant Games” service, with Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Remember Me head-lining the European choices, and Binary Domain and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen on offer for North American users. And if you are picking up a PlayStation 4 on 29th November, don’t forget about your free PlayStation Plus titles; although Driveclub has been delayed until next year, launch-day subscribers will get a chance to play Contrast and Resogun instead.
