Witcher 3 Trailer Shows off Monster Killing

The world of The Witcher, built from the mind of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, is a brutal and unforgiving place. The series of games based in this world developed by CD Projekt have managed to capture the moral grey areas expertly, and the latest trailer for The Witcher 3 looks to continue this pattern.

Despite being completely CG, it raises hopes that the combat will be better in this entry, with Geralts movements being more fluid and dance-like, as described by Sapkowski in the novels. The grace of the witcher’s motion coupled with the unflinching deathly precision of the assault is exactly how the combat should be, and with comments from CD Projekt suggesting they are indeed going down this path of improvement there is reason to be excited. The moral grey areas the series is famous for look to continue, with evil being evil despite is degree. Geralt may be killing ‘monsters’, but they are still men, and Nietzsche said it best when he commented that “Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster”.
