Speculation was running wild over the release date of the next season of The Walking Dead – Telltale’s critical darling which just scooped up a BAFTA for Best Story – following a recent interview with Telltale CEO Dan Connors. During the interview, Connors said: “We’re aiming for fall of next year”, implying a release in 2014.
However, Telltale today confirmed that the next season will reach us before the end of this year in a new statement:
“The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of ‘this’ year (2013), and not ‘next’ year (2014) as has been reported after a recent interview. We apologize for any confusion and thank you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale’s series.”
