Not The Face!

I’m not the best person with shooters; basically I suck when it comes to them. I can handle Halo Reach and playing it online can be fun but the Halo series doesn’t appeal to me and it never has. I’ve tried many times to see what all the fuss is about but I get bored pretty quickly with it. Reach appeals to me cause I liked the characters and seeing where it all began. But the Master Chief doesn’t impress me. Maybe it’s partly due to the fact an ex was obsessed with the series that put me off. Calling yourself “The Chief” is going a bit too far.

Another shooter series I can’t handle is Gears of War and also its creator Cliffy B. That man drives me insane. I swear if I ever get hold of a lancer I’ll use it on him myself! The only thing I liked from the Gears series was the emotion it invoked in me. I loved Cole and Baird, they made me laugh so much. But as for Marcus and Dom… yawn. Marcus was too damned gruff and Dom drove me mad. But I’ll admit I did shed a tear for Dom in Gears of War 2.

So it looks like first and third-person shooter games will always be pushed aside by me. Being shot in the face does not count as having fun in my book and being chased by a big old nasty locust is not the way I want to spend an afternoon.
