Assassin’s Creed IV and Watch Dogs DLC is PS4 Timed Exclusive

The information can be found around 1:15 into the video, embedded below, where Sony touts “60 minutes of exclusive gameplay on PS4 (*6 month exclusive)” for ACIV and the same again for Watch Dogs roughly ten seconds later.

As to the specific nature of the exclusive content, the Assassin’s Creed IV downloadable content will concern the character of Aveline de Grandpré, who starred in last year’s PlayStation Vita title Assassin’s Creed: Liberation. No new information has been released by Ubisoft about Watch Dogs.

Oddly, Eurogamer reports that the European version of the below video does not mention any timed exclusivity, so the situation may only apply in North American territories.

As well as on Sony’s home consoles, both games are expected on the PC, Wii U, and Xbox 360/One platforms. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is due for release at the end of October on the 29th, while Watch Dogs has unfortunately been delayed into Q2 2014 on all platforms.
