Alongside the blog post, Larry also posted a video detailing each item included in the box. The standard Xbox One console package includes:
- Xbox One console
- Kinect 2.0 sensor and cable
- Xbox One wireless controller
- Xbox One mono headset
- “4K rated” (can handle 2160p output) HDMI cable
- Xbox One power-supply and cable
- Xbox One manual and sticker
Additionally, Day One edition pre-orders will receive a specially-branded controller with a chrome d-pad, as well as a redemption code for the exclusive Day One downloadable content and achievement.
The confirmation of the included headset will be good news to Xbox fans. Gamers were initially confused when Microsoft stated in June that the Xbox One would not ship with a bundled headset, unlike the Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 4 console. However, it seems that Microsoft have reversed this decision, as all editions of the new system will include a headset.
Major Nelson’s un-boxing of the Xbox One Day One edition console can be seen in the video embedded below.
