Devil Survivor 2 European Release Needs Fan Support

The European localisation is to be handled by publisher Ghostlight, who announced the news in a blog post earlier today. If 1800 copies are pre-ordered by the 30th of August, Ghostlight will publish the game this September. If not, all pre-order money will be refunded to supporters.

Those who back the scheme will also receive additional goodies in return for their support, including a folded A4 poster featuring the cover art from the game, as well as backer names printed in the game manual.

A double-pack containing Devil Survivor 2 and Devil Survivor: Overclocked is also available on the site at a £10 saving.

Ghostlight localised Devil Survivor: Overclocked – an enhanced port of the original Nintendo DS RPG – on the 3DS in Europe earlier this year. However, series fans were highly-critical of the localisation, as it introduced a set of bugs into the game that weren’t present in its American release two years earlier.

You can pre-order Devil Survivor 2 here. Alternatively, as most original Nintendo DS games are region-free, an English-language release can be imported right now from America, where it made its debut in February 2012.
