After a short introduction by Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision publishing, the all-access event jumped into new gameplay footage of a beautiful underwater locale, where players must handle limited-visibility and water-proof weaponry.
But perhaps the big shocker of the gameplay showcase was the reveal of the much-loved Ghosts dog… Riley! And what’s more, it seems like players will be able to control Riley himself in the game.
Riley became a favourite of Twitter and social media following the reveal of Ghosts at Microsoft’s Xbox One conference last month, where Infinity Ward talked extensively about the motion-capture needed to accurately portray the canine.
The pre-E3 gameplay showcase is available over at the official Call of Duty website. Call of Duty: Ghosts is scheduled for release on the 11th of November this year on all console platforms and PC.
