EVE Online is set to take its world domination plan even further by invading television screens soon with an official TV series that is now in development, and being overseen by the game’s developer, CCP Games.
No news yet on a release date, but the TV series is currently set to be directed by Baltasar Kormákur, producer of the pretty decent film ‘Contraband‘, and will include real player-submitted EVE Online stories and battles.
“The inhabitants of the notorious and beloved Eve Universe have 10 years’ worth of dramatic stories to tell,” said Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CCP CEO. “Our close collaboration with Baltasar and his creative team gives me confidence that we will capture EVE’s essence, inspiring millions of TV viewers with visions of humanity’s future.”

EVE Online: Odyssey will also release on PC on June 4th, and will be the MMO’s 19th free expansion pack to date.
