Not only will Telltale Games be delivering another series of their hugely successful adaptation of The Walking Dead later this year, but the ambitious developer will also undertake a new series, The Wolf Among Us.
A prequel to the DC Comics’ Fables stories, The Wolf Among Us will focus on twisted versions of various fairy-tale characters, such as Bibsy Wolf. The new series will also emphasise player choice in much the same way that The Walking Dead did last year. An interview with Telltale CEO Dan Connors clarified:
“Developing The Wolf Among Us based on the Fables universe has allowed our studio to build upon all of the hallmarks of what makes our episodic series so engaging for players. Through an evolution of our approach to choice and consequence, we can further explore the complexity of each and every iconic character in a universe rich with untold history from the darkest sides of the storybooks.”
Like most of Telltale’s titles, The Wolf Among Us will be a downloadable game. It is due for release this Summer on the Mac, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
