Double Fine Adventure game is now titled ‘Broken Age’

It’s been just over a year since Double Fine’s Kickstarter project ‘Double Fine Adventure’ was successfully funded with a (at the time) recording breaking $3.33 million, plus an additional $130,000 or so from it’s ‘Slacker Backer’ program that is still ongoing.

Now, finally, after a year of waiting Double Fine have announced the crowdfunded Double Fine Adventure game will be titled ‘Broken Age’.

The game will be a point-and-click adventure game, a genre Double Fine sought to prove still popular with Kickstarter, following two parallel stories of a young boy and girl who are seeking to break the tradition in their lives. The boy lives by himself on a spaceship, and the girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a sea monster. The game will follow the pair as they seek to alter their fates.

The game has also been confirmed to release on the Ouya platform – another successfully crowdfunded android-powered home console that is expected to be out in Summer 2013.

Broken Age has no set release date yet, but is still available to pre-order on their official website with similar perks to the original Kickstarter campaign.
