Recently, I made the biggest move of my life so far, in that I moved in with my fiancée. We had both been living at home with our parents until now, but we were now ready to take the next big step.
It was a tough move. My fiancée comes from a large family, and going from constantly being surrounded by them to just me was her biggest adjustment. For me, it was the independence that freaked me out. I’ve had to cut out a lot of spending, which will extend to my gaming life. Before the move, I picked up Fallout: New Vegas pre-owned for £10, and a friend lent me Oblivion and The Shivering Isles. My thinking was that these long games would provide a lot of game for not a lot of money. I was always a fan of long RPG games before, but they will most likely be my new best friends on a tight budget.
The other adventure I’ll be setting off on is one I know many of us have attempted. My missus is what you might refer to as a casual gamer. She has a DS and has put many many hours into several games (she kicks my ass at the Pokémans) but she’s never really played what we would call a “hardcore” game. I’m spoilt for choice in what to get her started on, but it’s going to be fun trying to get her to join me in my favourite hobby.
