The pitter patter again.

I have been keeping a big secret from all of you, some may be more surprised to find this out than others.  Once again my life has been turned around by the pitter patter of tiny feet, some of the tiniest that I have ever seen.  Just to let you know this happened to me two weeks ago and as with the last time I am over the moon, even if it does mean that my whole routine has been knocked for six again.  Those of you in the same position as myself will know of the responsibilities and trials that come along with this great event but others may not be aware of how much of a life changing event it is.

Do you like the spongebob cover?

On Friday the 20th while working I made a phone call to see how things were, I was told that it was time to get in the car and make haste.  I was all a tingle, I really couldn’t believe that I was going to be so lucky.  I jumped in the car and zoomed off not wanting to miss this chance one bit and within fifteen minutes I was at my destination.  I quickly got out, put money in the machine and sped off to see the arrival of my new bundle of joy.  When I got in to the room there were loads of people toing and froing, most of them getting in my way, almost as if they didn’t want me to get to my goal.  Then my eyes clapped eyes on him in the corner, yes this time around it was a boy.  My heart was beating fast my palms were sweaty and after a quick word with all concerned I finally got to hold him.  At this point I must apologise if you can’t see much in the pics but my daughter took them and she still hasn’t got that framing thing yet.

Couldn\'t find a blue bear

It wasn’t long until I was allowed to bring the new boy to my flat for a little while, well he has to get used to being here as much as possible.  As any parent will tell you the fun only starts when you are back in your own house and this was the case with me too.  I really didn’t know where abouts in the flat could be his space I tried sitting him here- no too cramped, sat him there- no too draughty.  Then every time I was holding him my hands were so sweaty, like I was nervous or something.  after holding him for long periods my arms were sore, so I just sat him on my lap.  Now I hear you all crying out, what did you call him?  Well, this was one of the most drawn out processes I’ve ever been through, names were banded about, most dismissed but in the end I won out.  I can’t believe that I managed to get away with this name but with my gaming roots I think it’s awesome, it’s individual but perfectly sums up my bundle of joy.  So once I tell you his name I will let you see the best picture that my wee girl took and it’s a belter, perfectly showing doting dad and his lovely boy.  Ladies and gentlemen of Ready-Up I present to you ‘ Hadouk ‘ what a name!

A thing of beauty.

Ok I’ve been having you all on, did you guess?  Seriously though, I was lucky enough to pick up a Madcatz arcade fightstick and it’s awesome, it’s the first stick that I have owned and to me it’s a thing of beauty.  I have read how people become attached to their sticks and I can now see why, it becomes part of you when you are playing the game.  The control method is so much easier for Street Fighter 4 and raises your skill level a fair bit to the extent where I feel that I actually stand a chance.  As I’m sure many of you are aware our very own Dan is into modding sticks and slowly I think he is bringing me around to his line of thinking.  He is going to help me out with a new ball for my stick and an octagonal gate for the base, should make fireballs even easier.  I’m not ready just yet to swap out my buttons but I know that at some point in the future it will be done with colours to suit my taste.  I was also lucky enough to get a Madcatz pad as well which is utterly sublime and makes Street Fighter 4 even more of a pleasure to play.  I digress though, if you have the money and can find one and are a stick virgin I would urge you to track one down, without one, you don’t know what you’re missing.  Oh by the way, he does have the tiniest ‘rubber feet’ I’ve seen.
