Pipe Mania (Juniors)

The classic puzzler Pipe Mania bursts it way on to the DS with a colourful new look, multiple new game types and even a story that’s full of wacky characters, all revolving aroung a cheeky looking young plumber named “Junior”. Junior and his sister Fawcett are set the task of repairing pipes, electrical cables and train tracks to stop the dreaded Flooze from contaminating their home of Paradise Island.

Name: Amber

Age: 8

What did you like about Pipe Mania?

Amber: I liked it cause it’s like one of those games where you have to put the pieces in the right place, like Hexic but I’m not very good at that cause the pieces all disappear but in Pipe Mania they stay there for you to see where they are going.

Who was your favourite character?

Amber: Junior because he saves the day all the time by fixing the pipes.

What was the best bit about the game?

Amber: Oh it was really funny when the flooze starts coming through the pipe before you finish it, and you have to go like crazy to fix the pipe that made me laugh!

What was the worst bit about the game?

Amber: Sometimes you don’t get the bits you need, like the right shape, and if you put pipes on top of pipes  they explode and sometimes I was exploding the wrong pipes by accident. My Mam helped alot cause  I kept getting stuck.

How much fun was this game?

Amber: Quite fun but it was hard

Parent’s Comments: The first levels in the game were simple enough, unlike the classic version there’s a leak meter which fills up to give you a bit more of a chance to finish your pipe. As the game progressed though and “bad guys” started destroying your pipes it got a bit too much for Amber to get her head around.
