Dirty old town….

I’ve just moved to a new city, and as I’m sure you are all aware, there is nothing good about being somewhere new for the first time.  Yes, it can be exciting, finding your way around and seeing all the sights but something inside of me just hates it.  I arrived here on Sunday, it was meant to be Tuesday but due to some fast tracking I got in a bit early.  It was raining, dull and grey, first thing I had to do was get a taxi to my new digs, and when I say “digs” that is exactly what I mean.

After a quick freshen up it was out to see my new neighbourhood (such an American word I know but..).  Within walking distance I have a bar, with a dartboard, a restaurant, which serves some lousy burgers and a fashion outlet, for the less discerning client-Me!  Strangely I didn’t see any games shops yet but I’m sure I’ll find them soon.  Luckily the Internet is readily available and the speeds are quite good, I think I’ll need great use of it- this city is absolutely huge.  There’s a train track really close to my flat but I don’t think it will keep me awake, I am a night hawk as it is.

Luckily I have already got a job, not the most glamorous but it’s money and the hours are to suit, yup I have become a taxi driver.  I’ve only done a few fares so far but everyone seems nice and the money is good.  You know writing this I have just had the strangest feeling of deja vu, it’s like I’ve been in this city before……..strange.  Anyway last night there was a really good thunder storm here and I decided to go out for a walk in it, I swear the pavements were rumbling!  Not knowing where I was going I ended up in a -how shall I put it- seedier part of town.  There were sex shops and women of ill repute, so I made an exit sharpish back to the flat.  The storm was amazing though, I hear they get a lot of them round here, I look forward to seeing my next one.  Hey, I’ve just found out that there is an old carnival down near the river and it has a bowling alley,  I am so there tomorrow.  Speaking of tomorrow, I have to go and see some guy called Manny to get involved in a community project, something to do with drug education….sounds good!  Oh one last thing, I also met this cool woman called Michelle, she’s very friendly and we seem to get on, I might go out with her again this week, but I have this voice in my head telling me that something isn’t right about her.

Well thanks for listening if you want to reply to this send me a letter to:-

Have to say I am loving the game. Am super impressed that in 4 days of playing I have only managed to find 5 of the hidden pigeons – me loves an object hunt!!

Hate the fact, though, that Ricky Gervais is in the game – he just has to spoil everything.. the unfunny egomaniacal git!
