Now it’s all cool what we get to do with Ready Up, trotting along to special events, interviewing and hanging out with key figures of the games industry, playing the new upcoming games, nabbing freebies and feeling chuffed about our experiences. We’re also quite the little sociable nippers frequently playing online, discussing games and being a little mischievous on occasion with friends and community in the forum. We don’t just sit indoors though, sometimes we like to go out to play! So I (on behalf of Ready Up) host quarterly meet ups which brings all gamers together for a bundle of fun and geek talk!

Gamers from across the nation are gathering together on the 21st February 2009. The meet starts at 12pm in Central London’s Trocadero where regular and new faces are welcomed before we go charging up the escalators to tuck in to the arcade machines of Funland. Then followed by a nice walk about London, or perhaps scouting for somewhere that’ll give us food to stuff into our hungry faces. At 5pm we retreat to catch up with our good friends of the DS: London community, resting our feet, nattering away and a spot of portable action at a nice, friendly pub (18+ only – please bring I.D).

It’s a chance to put names to faces and meet the Ready Up team. Past meet ups have been a blast and it’s a pleasure that people of all ages and backgrounds can come together with one thing in common: gaming. My fingers and toes are twiddling in excitement as I look forward to meeting everybody! I can’t wait to dip into some DDR, Street Fighter and Time Crisis. What are you looking forward to playing?
