The Ready Up staff members who recently achieved a marathon Guinness World Record on Burnout Paradise and our friends at Esc Games who hosted the event have now all received our certificates. Phone calls have been made to framers, old family photos flung from above our mantelpieces, framehooks hammered into toilet walls. These certificates will take pride of place in our homes to show all who enter that we are the very best in the world at something. Of course beyond the showing off they remind us of the massive team effort made to get us there from our friends and colleagues and the money we’ve all raised so far for GamesAid. Here’s a wee look at us with our certificates:

You may have seen that we have a short documentary of our experience achieving the record on Inside Xbox on the Xbox 360 dashboard. Below is the unabridged video if you’d like to see more of our shenanigans. Thanks again to all our supporters and don’t forget you can still donate at www.justgiving.com/gamesaid-readyup

Great to see it play out. And to see Kirsten having to extract Fran from her chair when 24 hours were up. Once again, kudos to all. :)

At that point, brain and body had both left the building. Thank you again Kirsten. :D

Do they? Were you all wearing shades at the time? :D

When people ask – “Where were you when Ready Up set the record for 24 hour Burnout?”, I can gladly say I was there.
OK, people may not ask this, but it was still a good weekend. And good that it wasn’t all about the glory, money for charity was raised too. Well done people.

Well done Martin for putting his certificate in a frame worthy of the award. Shame on Fran for using cheapo Ikea five for a pound frames.
The question is, what’s next……?

Why does Simes appear to be posing for a Police mugshot? :)

When you have 2 certificates and counting, its worth getting a bulk pack of frames I think. ;)

just noticed Kirstens, um, er.. Cat (nearly came over all Mollie Sugden then). Evil eyes… looks like the cat off of Pet Semetary (after it came back from the dead).
Fran – three more to go then! :-) Try the meatballs next time you go – they are luvverly.

Awesome stuff guys!

Although I couldnt get into the WR game itself, I still had an awesome time in the other game taking place with Ready Uppers and forumites :)
I know from personal experience how much work goes into a WR attempt, even if you end up failing its still a lot of hard work.
Well done each and every one of you!
