Lorna is a staff writer for Ready Up between trying to fit in her day job, gaming and eyeing the increasingly large stack of games that are on her 'to play' pile. Lorna was gaming from an early age on the trusty ZX Spectrum when games were harder than a diamond icicle. She poured over every Dizzy release, ripping maps from her dad’s 'Your Sinclair' mags, and battling through Jack the Nipper. Over the years she has enjoyed many generations of consoles and computers, most of which are still monopolising all the wardrobe space. Lorna's favourite ever games include Chuckie Egg, The Secret of Monkey Island, Dungeon Keeper, and Zombies Ate My Neighbours. She laments the passing of the text adventure and was indeed (and still remains) a map-making fetishist. She can often be found patching up pet-chewed cables, daydreaming, and frantically note-making. Game sprites run furtively through her mind every time she closes her eyes but no one believes her.
