Ink review

Cameron made a splash in colourful platformer Ink by Zack Bell Games.

Ink is a stripped down platformer with a colourful twist. You take control of a little cube and have to navigate to an exit, and sometimes hop on top of enemies that get in your way. The twist comes from how, at first, the level is invisible – every jump, move or slide splashes paint which slowly makes the shapes of the level apparent.

The game’s minimalist approach in terms of visuals and controls is straightforward, and forms the appeal of the game. Calming background music adds to the experience.

Ink is available on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One. Follow @ZackBellGames on Twitter or find out more at zackbellgames.com.
