Susan dives into the mystery of Scar of the Doll, a visual novel written by Hidehisa Miyashita and developed by Child Dream.
In Scar of the Doll, you follow Asumi, a girl who is looking for her sister. Asumi’s sister is supposed to be studying at a graduate school in Tokyo, but Asumi hasn’t heard from her in a long time and when she goes to Tokyo to find her, there is no trace or evidence that she was ever there.
A story with twists and turns provides an interesting diversion, if you can look past the dated visuals and clumsy interface, but the £6.99 price point might be off-putting for such an experience that clocks in at around 1hr 30 if you’re a fast reader.
