What have you been playing? We kick things off by talking about Cameron’s positive experience with The Witcher 3 and negative experience of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, which leads to a discussion about the relevance of open world settings and, of course, Gwent.

Cameron’s also been playing Oxenfree, Alekhine’s Gun, and the Resident Evil 7 demo.

Continuing our cutting edge videogame coverage, Susan’s been playing Never Alone, which is based on the myths and culture of the Iñupiaq people of Alaska. Susan’s also drawing from the visual novel well again with Clannad, which she’s pleased to find doesn’t contain any naked cat girls (yet).

Guest/Site Spotlight We take some time to chat to Cameron about his favourite kind of games and how his film studies and screenwriting pursuits affect his perspective on games. Meanwhile, Dean’s very tired because he has been busy conferencing at the Fan Studies Network conference where he met his favourite academic Henry Jenkins. We also throw a spotlight on our new Casual Fridays stream, which saw us hilariously bungling a crime spree much to papa Scott’s annoyance.
