Stumped – Pets Galore

Hello everybody! How goes you? You alright? I shall assume that you are all shouting at which ever device you are reading my blog on with a resounding “yes” because you know it’s time for another Stumped, your monthly guide to the mobile games I can be actually arsed to play.

I’ve always wanted a pet. When I was little I wanted a pony, which I blame on the amount of My Little Pony I would watch, to asking my mum for a rabbit. Something I was told I could have and I am still waiting for nearly 14 years on. Now I’m older and can do things I like without having to get permission from mum or dad, I have decided to get a dog. Me and my glamorous Seb want to get a Samoyed. Unfortunately we don’t have the space to get one just yet, so to curb my pet needs, I thought I’d have a gander at any mobile pet games I could find.

My First Dog

Ok so this was the first game I found, and as you can guess from the title, it’s all about owning your first dog. After taking forever to start a guest account, due to every username and word I could think of having already been registered, I was able to buy my first dog, a beagle. You get to take your dog out for walking, feed it and even enter it into competitions, and who doesn’t want to do that. The game reminds me of another super popular dog related game which is available on a handheld, (and by that I mean Nintendogs) and you know what, I actually liked that. I liked that there was something I recognised while I was playing it.

Cat Match

Now I realise I said I wanted a dog, so me playing a game about cats, kinda doesn’t make sense. Trust me I’ve noticed. But what was cute about this game, it’s about trying to get a cat ready for adoption (aww). So you choose a cat that you want to get ready to re-home, great, and then all you have to do is play a mini matching game which helps to build up the cat’s statistics. But what is EVEN cooler, is that all in-app purchases helps to support Cat Protection.

Pet shop

I felt bad just playing games which involved only dogs and cats. So this is me, not alienating Apps, and reviewing Pet Shop. As you could probably guess, it’s all about having a pet shop. The game gives you shop goals that you need to achieve so you can level up and get much needed coins. The goals can include building enclosures for animals, selling certain animals and getting them to mate. Or as I like to call it, getting busy. The shop can be expanded to fit in more pets which is pretty cool.

My Boo

Now My Boo is not a pet or any kind of animal. It is a super cute blue blob with a pair of eyes and a cute smile, and I have to say I love him. I think it’s a him. I’ve called My Boo, Blu Boo and he is like my little Tamigotchi pet on my iPhone. Remember Tamigotchis? God I loved those. I had the Tamigotchi, the Digimon version and even the Pikachu too. But I digress. My Boo has very simple needs. He needs to be fed, cleaned, entertained and even put to sleep. The icons at the top of the screen tell you exactly what he needs so you don’t have to second guess what needs to be done.

And there we go. My pet needs have been satisfied, so I am a happy bunny, and now you know what cool and exciting pet games I’ve been playing which I’m sure has enriched your lives. Until next time my dears!
