PS4 available in 12 more countries

Sony’s PlayStation 4 continues to roll out across the world and in a post on the PlayStation blog on Friday Sony confirmed that it was available to buy in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Slovakia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Quatar, Bahrain, Oman, and South Africa. This brings the number of territories the PlayStation is available in to 48 as the console also went on sale in Bolivia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

Meanwhile the X Box One is selling in comparable numbers to the PlayStation 4, yet is available in just 13 territories so it will be interesting to see the effect that Sony’s faster roll out will have on their sales numbers. The last sales number Sony disclosed was back on the 3rd of December when they announced that after the European and Latin American launches they’d managed to sell 2.1 million units.
