Stumped – Procrastination 101

Hello, my puzzle lovers. It’s time for another blog filled with puzzles and my witty sense of humour. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been working on an assignment, so of course meant I spent hours researching, drafting and reading through my essay. Well, really, in true Sarah-Lou fashion, I spent my time watching TV, eating Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream, and procrastinating with these snazzy mobile games.

Pixel This! – iPhone

Pixel This! is a snazzy picross game with 100+ pictures to try and find. It’s the first time I played a picross game as I never took the time to understand how it was played. Now I’ve got the instructions down Pixel This! is a simple, easy to play game. It has free hints, the ability to tweet your score, and you can even have your own music playing which is real nifty.

Pig Rush- iOS, Android, PC

The only rule of Pig Rush is do not fall… and there you have it. Take your pig running across a beautiful 2D world as you jump over crevices and log fires. Jumping is easy, as where you tap your pig follows. Double taps allows you to double jump and if you’re lucky enough to find a pair of wings, you get the chance to fly for a limited time. You can also make your pig into some massive indestructible pig, making your pig become the size of the screen when you collect the pig icon. So you can run into log fires and across gaps like a boss.

Pics & Pieces – iOS

Pictures and words come together to make Pics & Pieces, a game where you assemble the word pieces to name the picture. Each round comes with six pictures and three rows of various word bits. You can randomise the letters to see if any word comes to you, and when you think you’ve found the right one, drag it to the picture. There are six free rounds you can play through before you have to purchase additional packs. Whilst there are other games which are kinda similar to this, Pics & Pieces is one I’d say you should be adding to your gaming collection.
