Sony has today released a comprehensive FAQ about the release of the PlayStation 4.While it isn’t all bad news, it isn’t all good news either. There’s the obligatory specs involved, but the real bombshell comes with the confirmation that Sony’s next gen console will not support external hard drives. If I’m being honest though my PlayStation 3 never accepted my external hard drive either, but it was 50/50 whether or not my laptop did either, so while a blow to some, this news isn’t as apocalyptic as some people may be making out. If I can still replace the internal HDD (which I can, within limits), then I’m OK with everything.
Everything else is well worth a look though, as it confirms/denies or clears up some questions about things such as USB microphones or next-gen upgrades. Really, its a helpful sheet of things you should probably know about going next-gen with Sony. There’s a lot of information involved, so click through HERE to see the full list.
