Speculations about an alien shooting mode in the latest instalment of the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Ghosts have been running wild since new screenshots of the game have been leaked.
Activision has now released an official trailer for Extinction, “an all-new 1-4 player cooperative game mode featuring a unique blend of fast-paced survival action, FPS base defense, scavenging and class levelling.”
Extinction seems to be replacing the series’ regular Zombies mode, players will now have to defeat aliens and destroy their hives instead of fighting waves of zombies.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Wii U on 5th November and will then be available on Xbox One and Playstation 4 when the new consoles are released later in the month.
