Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes Goes English

It’s been a while since we first saw this trailer for Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes, the prequel to Metal Gear Solid V proper, but now we get to hear the English cast in their roles.

While the original Japanese trailer had the standard voice actor playing the part of Big Boss, the English version has David Hayter’s controversial replacement, 24 star Keifer Sutherland. Judging by the credits that flash up during this opening sequence, we can now confirm that the rest of the cast is being reprised by their original voice actors. While Sutherland is doing a very fine job judging by what we’ve heard so far, its still a little off putting to not hear Hayter’s distinctive gruff voice coming out of that face. Its a similar situation to this years Splinter Cell Blacklist, which actually detracts a little from the experience, though I’m sure we’ll all come around in the end and enjoy what is almost certain to be another fantastic game.

Besides, who isn’t willing to put money on Hayter showing up at some point.
