Over 13,000 people attended the free Dare Protoplay festival in Dundee, so high was the demand that an extra day was added to the festival so more punters could get their share of the 15 Dare to be Digital games on offer.
Numbers must be whittled down, though, and as of now three of the fifteen remain: The Unknown (iKnow), an Android game; Project Heero (Mazhlele), for Xbox 360 and PC; and Size DOS Matter (Team DOS), for the iPad.
The three teams go on to compete against one another once more for a BAFTA Ones to Watch Award at the 2014 BAFTA Video Games Awards.
Hosted by the University of Abertay Dundee, Dare to be Digital is a games development competition where teams of students compete over the summer holidays to build fully-functioning prototype games. Their works of art are then to be judged by both the public and games industry figures at Dare Protoplay.
