Flower Drifts onto Vita

The existence of the Vita port was confirmed when IndieCade released their full list of games expected to appear at their E3 presentation, which will be held in just a few weeks. Flower will also be joined at the IndieCade Vita booth by 2D sandbox adventure Hohokum, a bizarre collaboration between artist Richard Hogg and the developers at Honeyslug.

The porting job will not be handled by the original Flower team at thatgamecompany. A spokesperson for the developer said:

“There’s not much we can do other than to say that it exists, that we’re not handling the port for it, and that we don’t know a prospective release date.”

However, the port is expected to utilise the Vita’s touch-screen for input, in addition to gyroscopic motion controls, much like the PS3 version of the game.

Last year, Flower developer thatgamecompany achieved mass critical acclaim for their breath-taking title Journey, a favorite here at Ready Up as well.
