Precursor Games have launched the Kickstarter that will fund development for their episodic psychological horror game Shadow of the Eternals.
The requested figure of $1,350,000 will go towards developing the first episode, game engine and “core system development”
Like I say Shadow of the Eternals is set to provide Eternal Darkness with a spiritual successor. Eternal Darkness is well loved for its story and, more importantly, its sanity mechanic that caused players to hallucinate depending on their mental state.
With any luck we’ll be wandering around various historical periods utterly convinced we’ve no head and that all the statues are watching us in no time.
