Hello, faithful reader!

You may have noticed that there’s now a new menu bar at the top of the screen with several strange logos attached to it. No, we’re not pulling a Kotaku – we’ve actually partnered up with a few other awesome websites to create a Justice League-esque team that’ll help us give you all more of the best gaming related stuff than ever before.

Ready-Up.net – With any luck you’ll already be slightly familiar with this particular website, but as far as our new group is concerned we are the community driven slice of the gaming pie that is Character Select. We deliver passionate, personal opinions and games coverage with all the grandeur and lack of shame that we’ll even talk about ourself in the third person on our own website. Wink.

Thumb-Culture.com – Here we have the latest and greatest pieces of gaming news. Just as much passion, but likely a lot more factually based. Release announcements, updates and industry bombshells are but a mere crust on this piece of pie. Frequent updates, screenshots, new videos and trailers and plenty of other juicy gaming information which you would otherwise have to trawl through Kotaku’s awful new layout to find – and even then it’ll never be this well written.

GamerDork.net – Who doesn’t love Podcasts? It’s like having an awesome debate with your friends at the pub only you can pause them whenever they insult Spyro The Dragon and write up a five point list as to why they’re WRONG. This is where GamerDork enters Character Select’s roster. They focus on their Podcast content and they do a damn fine job. They throw out some excellent reviews and video playthroughs as well so they’ve got one hell of a package.

Console-Arcade.com – You ever downloaded a game off a virtual marketplace? XBLA? PSN? WiiWare? If not, what’s wrong with you, man? Go do it! If you have, however, then you need to check out Console Arcade in all their awesomeness. Purely for all your downloadable news, reviews and all that good stuff that comes with it. A simple premise, but with the ridiculous amount of downloadables coming out on a weekly basis I’m happy they’ve taken the reins and are now part of Character Select Network.

There we have it! The four horsemen of the geekpocalpyse united as one in the Character Select Network.
