Call of Duty: Black Ops Brady Games Guide

If there is one thing we love at Ready Up, it’s a good strategy guide. A good strategy guide is the gamer’s equivalent of an arty coffee table book. So I have here the Limited Edition hardback Brady Games’ guide for Call of Duty: Black Ops and it’s quite a looker. While the content in the limited edition is the same as the less rugged and, let’s face it, less manly Signature Series paperback edition, the Limited Edition does boast a very swish extra component. Much like the Hardback Starcraft 2 guide, the Limited Edition comes with an a-frame flipchart detailing the maps from the multiplayer game, invaluable for getting used to the warzone you will be tearing up over the next few weeks (months/years).

The guide itself features detailed maps for all modes of the game, revealing the locations of all in game collectibles and objectives. For multiplayer it has each map broken down with tips and strategies for solo and team games.

Since COD4: Modern Warfare, online play has been all about ranking up and unlocking cool stuff with which to cause destruction. For the obsessive soldier, the guide has details of all the weapons, attachments and equipment you can get your hands on as well as all the perks and killstreaks. I don’t want to spoil it for you but there is some great sounding stuff to play with this time around, and having everything in one place will let you plan ahead with the new COD Points system.

As usual, Brady has put together a well made and informative guide with excellent presentation. Everything you need is in the paperback, but for the real connoisseur the hardback is the way to go.
