Right, really, I’m not fucking around this time, I am 100% done with World of Warcraft.
I got back into it again after falling into it more as a social game than anything else. Recently though, I can’t play with the other guys in my guild because I’m not level 80 yet, I’m level 74 and that’s taken me DAYS of playing, I don’t mean Monday to Friday, I mean I’ve actually put in over 48 hours to get from level 70 to level 74.

4 Days, 18 hours and 41 minutes later ...
While I love the interaction you get from other players and the possibility that when I reach level 80, I’ll actually be able to do more of the cool stuff my mates keep talking about, I can’t help but feel that it’s all about diminishing returns.
I’ll expand on my meaning, when I was leveling up from level 1 to level 69 it took me 31 hours all in, not bad for almost 70 levels, from 70 to 74 has taken me 48 hours and I still have 6 levels left and thinking about it, even when I get to level 80, I still have to spend time getting geared up before I’d even be considered to be able to take part in a 25 man heroic raid.
I have so many games sitting about my table, sooooooooo many that are excellent, screaming out to be played but I’ve set them aside until I can tick the box in the “have a level 80 character in WOW” real life achievement.

I might start running, without a mount!
Well that’s it, I’m done, I have once more reached my MMO saturation point, I’m done, it’s over, no more for me, I’ve cancelled my subscription so that’s it!
Until next month.

Lemme help you: Even if you lvl your toon to 80, get it geared up, and start raiding, it will only be a month or two away before the next expansion comes and you have to level up again. Don’t waste your time.
Lemme not help you: they’re rehauling all classes for the expansion with new spells and talents, what you jsut quit might be a lot more fun in a few months.

I quit WoW when Mass Effect 2 came out and never looked back.
