Oh Lordy, the number of times I have nearly fallen to my knees in despair in front of the three or four games on the shelf I wanna buy sooooo badly because I can only afford to buy a laughable one is ridiculous. I thought that would stop happening as I got older and earned more money, but it never has.

And I'll save you the trouble of trying to sell your nan for spare parts - I tried that myself, and it seems the only parts that still work, no one's interested in.

I want Dragon Age. But I also want all those other games too. Jame is right, it is difficult. But MW2 has to be top of my list.

Apart from Left 4 Dead 2.

After spending most of yesterday afternoon and all of last night playing Dragon Age, I can give some more intelligent thoughts on it. The graphics on the XBox 360 are, frankly, pretty crap. The screenshots on all the websites, and even on the 360 version's box are clearly from the PC edition, because the 360 version looks like it was made for the original XBox. That to one side, the rest of the game is spectacular. The gameplay is classic Baldur's Gate/Diablo style dungeon crawling. The writing is fantastic. And the voice acting is incredible. If the game was as pretty as advertised, it would be very easy to recommend, but most people would probably want to get the PC one if they can run it. Cheaper, and much better looking. Boo.

We're living the dream :) the days foretold when games made of pure distilled heaven line up like chorus dancers, baying for our attention. :)

Money? Not a problem :) just rob more banks :)
Time tho? :/ Therein lies the rub :/ They're makin' great games faster than banking shares can be panic-sold!
If they could just stop releasing the damn things, for say... a month or two :) mebbe three; I swear it would all work out. :)
*eye starts to twitch as he thinks of Dragon Age*

I had a similar problem. Very limited funds, and a mass of excellent titles suddenly appearing, near the end of what was supposedly going to be a slow year. I could get three, barely, when I wanted maybe ten.

For what it's worth, I went with Forza 3, Assassin's Creed II, and though it isn't shown on your list there, Dragon Age: Origins. Only Forza 3 is actually out yet, the other two are still preorders, but I can say in complete honesty that Forza 3 is the single best driving game I've ever played. And I've played Gran Turismo 1, 2, 3, and 4, several Need for Speeds, PGR 4, Race Pro, the old F1 series, Colin Mcrae Rally, SEGA Rally, Forza 2 of course, and so on and so forth. Forza 3 wins hands down on everything. Physics, graphics, damage model, range of playable tracks and cars... I spent 5 days straight playing it when it arrived through my letter box, at the expense of other games, eating, sleep, or talking to people. I only took breaks to get drinks and rave about the game on the forums here. I haven't shown that kind of single-minded obsessive dedication to a game since Mass Effect.

As for Assassin's Creed II... well, I'm very comfortable with my choice there. Everything I've seen and heard makes me want to play that game right now. Dragon Age I went with on the strength of previous Bioware titles like Mass Effect and Baldur's Gate, but it was my gambit card out of everything else that was out. I'm not sure what it'll turn out to be, but no doubt I'll have fun finding out.
